Summary

I don’t expect to convert those who don’t believe in this idea to come across, but hopefully some will at least see the logic. For the 49ers, it just makes so much sense.

They can afford it. They can afford to dish the picks out. It feels such a huge need.

Would it happen? Probably not. Certainly there are no reports out there linking Mack to a hop across the bay to San Francisco.

But great defenders aren’t on the market everyday, less so defenders who would fit so effortlessly and obviously into a team looking to make a statement in the NFL.

Mack a 49ers star? It probably will never happen.

But the tools are there that it could happen.

And I, for one, believe it should happen.
