No. 1: Wide Receiver Jerry Rice

Just like Hall of Famer Joe Montana, legendary wide receiver Jerry Rice epitomizes everything about the legacy of the San Francisco 49ers.

Again, we could go into the accolades, achievements and unbreakable records Rice holds. But fans know these all too well.

What makes Rice stand out among players who simply looked too weird in other uniforms largely stems from the fact he enjoyed 16 overwhelmingly successful years in San Francisco. His Hall of Fame legacy had already been cemented long before his tenure with the Niners was coming to a close in the late 1990s.

Rice went on to enjoy a successful career outside of San Francisco. In 2001, Rice signed with the Oakland Raiders and ended up being a critical factor in Oakland’s 2002 AFC Championship team.

Two years later, Rice found his time split between the Raiders and Seattle Seahawks. He tried to make the Denver Broncos’ roster a year later.

49ers fans certainly didn’t like the look or Rice in a Raiders jersey. But seeing him in a Seahawks jersey looks even weirder. Exceptionally weird, to say the least.

Regardless, Rice in anything but a 49ers uniform doesn’t work.
