No. 3: You believe Deion Sanders was the greatest rental in sports history

Deion “Primetime” Sanders had only a brief stopover with the 49ers in a whirlwind Hall of Fame career, but what a stop it was.

Six interceptions, with three going all the way for a touchdown (and a NFL record). His 303 interception yards were a NFL record too. Actually, two interceptions going 90-plus yards was a NFL record as well, so put that in the books.

He then won the NFL, Associated Press and Pro Football Writers Association Defensive Player of the Year awards, before helping the 49ers crush the San Diego Chargers in Super Bowl XXIX.

Not bad for a year in the red and gold.
