No. 6: The Cincinnati Bengals are your favorite AFC team

Well it goes without saying that two of the 49ers most famous and historic moments come at the expense of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Most famous would be, of course, Super Bowl XXIII, AKA the most exciting Super Bowl of all time.

We all know the story by now, in a situation where the pressure would make us all crack, Joe Montana says his famous “Hey, isn’t that John Candy?” line to his teammates before processing to calmly drive down the field in the manner only Joe Cool can handle.

But we lose sight, perhaps, because the sequel was better than the original, of the fact it was defeating the Bengals that netted the 49ers their first ever Super Bowl in another great game.

Best. Defensive. Stand. Ever.
