Reuben Foster is back

Oh thank God.

Linebacker Reuben Foster returned to the team this week, as two of the three felony charges against him were dropped.

He still has some misdemeanor charges for marijuana and gun charges in Alabama and Santa Clara, respectively, but those won’t be charges that see Foster released by San Francisco.

Editor’s note: Foster’s charge for misdemeanor marijuana possession has since been dropped, per Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee.

No doubt, Foster has a lot of work to do to earn back the trust of his teammates and coaches, as he still hasn’t exactly been a “good boy,” but the big problem that was dominating talk about Foster the last few months is now over.

General manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan took a big leap of faith to stand by him, and now he has to work to repay the faith.
