San Francisco 49ers: The worst 15 NFL draft picks in franchise history
10. Terrence Flagler, Running Back, Clemson
It seemed like a good idea at the time, using the 25th pick in 1987 to take an All-American in running back Terrence Flagler. The idea being that he would team with Roger Craig to create a tandem that would devastate opposing defenses.
What they would get in three years was 42 carries for 145 yards and one touchdown, before he demanded a trade elsewhere.
Flagler would bounce around the league (including a very brief second stint for a fortnight with the 49ers) before eventually bouncing out of it.
Sadly, children today will never hear of the Craig-Flagler tandem.
