Well, duh.

Jimmy Garoppolo is going to go 16-0 during the regular season, carrying the 49ers all the way to a Super Bowl crown.

OK, let’s temper expectations a bit. But seriously, the hype appears to be justified. And if you’re doubting that, just check out what Pro Football Focus had to say about Jimmy G.

The casual fan, who watched last year, can tell you the difference Garoppolo made under center. San Francisco’s offense was far more efficient — scoring on 62 percent of Garoppolo-led drives, as opposed to a mere 29 percent without him.

Yeah, that’s a difference maker.

As long as the Niners can keep their No. 1 financial investment healthy this season, there’s little reason to assume the offense will be any less potent. Plus, one can be even more excited Garoppolo will have a full offseason-plus understanding Kyle Shanahan’s offense.

And with a few more offensive weapons at his disposal, Garoppolo’s ceiling should be even higher in 2018.

Of course, there are going to be some notable changes, risers and fallers between now and the regular season.
