San Francisco 49ers: Predicting each rookie’s role, stats for 2018
By Aaron Tan
Defensive Back Tarvarius Moore
I was not a fan of this pick at first.
However, just like the McGlinchey pick, I have been liking it more and more ever since.
Defensive back Tarvarius Moore possesses a great frame for an NFL defensive back at 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds. He is insanely fast too, running a 4.32-second 40-yard dash. He primarily played safety in college, but the 49ers plan to use him at cornerback, continuing their tall cornerback tradition.
Moore has some real potential but will be stuck behind a strong cornerback group in Richard Sherman and Ahkello Witherspoon for his first year. Barring an injury to one of these starting cornerbacks, Moore will ride the bench and learn from them.
