San Francisco 49ers: Ranking the 49ers’ 2018 NFL Draft picks by immediate impact

4. Tarvarius Moore, Cornerback/Safety, Southern Miss (Pick 95)

Insanely athletic and talented, Tarvarius Moore looks like he’s having the first crack to learn behind Richard Sherman to be the long-term starter as he looks to move from safety to cornerback.

Moore will be yet another prospect, who has a chance to contribute to the return game as well. But I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s held out from returning because he finds himself on defense a lot this year.

Moore was a ballhawk and heat-seeking missile at Southern Miss, recording 104 tackles and five interceptions in his brief college tenure, only starting his senior year and having his interception total lessened by some drops.

I fully expect Moore to successfully transition to corner, given his insane athletic gifts and having a top lockdown corner in Sherman to guide him.

He’s a great addition, and I think he’ll see defensive snaps as a rookie.
