San Francisco 49ers: Ranking the 49ers’ 2018 NFL Draft picks by immediate impact

9. Kentavius Street, Defensive End, N.C. State (Pick 128)

Kentavius Street has already been the subject of a few articles on Niner Noise, and it is indeed an interesting selection given the talent that was still on the board.

His college production wasn’t anything to write home about either. Although there is some potential.

Unfortunately for Street, he’s last on this ranking for an unrelated reason. Street tore his ACL in a pre-draft workout for the New York Giants, and he’s almost certain to be put on injured reserve for this season.

No production makes Street an obvious selection.

I will end this one a good note, though. Street did turn a few heads before his injury, and he does have some exciting athletic ability. So it isn’t out of the question he can produce down the road.

Unfortunately, it won’t be this year.
