No. 1: Week 10 vs. New York Giants

It’s a bit weird to see this particular contest a prime-time game, but the 49ers’ Week 10 matchup with the New York Giants on Monday Night Football winds up being the most winnable game for the red and gold this upcoming season.

On paper, at least.

Simply put, New York’s 2017 campaign was a disaster resulting in coaching and front-office firings and a wholesale change atop the organization. Of course, if you needed any more proof, the Giants were the lone team the Niners were able to beat last year without Jimmy Garoppolo under center.

The Giants are apparently looking for two or three more years from veteran quarterback Eli Manning, whose efforts last year amounted to an 80.4 passer rating — the lowest he’s had since 2007.

Who knows how this affects New York’s plans in the upcoming NFL Draft. But, for right now, this is still Manning’s show.

Does that matter for San Francisco? Probably not.

By all accounts, the Giants are still a bad team; one of a few the Niners face this year. But what separates this game into the No. 1 spot on our “easy” list is the fact San Francisco plays on Thursday night against the Oakland Raiders the week before. Tack on the MNF game, and the 49ers have what amounts to a mini bye week.c

Yeah, the Niners will be both well rested and prepared.
