Week 6 @ Green Bay Packers (Monday Night Football)

Quarterbacks Jimmy Garoppolo versus Aaron Rodgers. The new versus the old. It doesn’t get much better for that, especially on prime time.

Taking place on Monday, Oct. 15, the cold weather in Green Bay shouldn’t be too much a challenge yet for the 49ers, who trail the all-time series with the Packers 35-30-1. But what will be the focus is the aforementioned quarterback battle.

Rodgers makes Green Bay a contender as long as he’s healthy and on the field. And adding veteran tight end Jimmy Graham in free agency this offseason only makes the Packers’ aerial attack that much more potent.

If San Francisco’s pass-rushing woes from 2017 carry over into this season, Garoppolo and Co. might be looking at a shootout.

And if that’s the case, we’ll have to go with the home team for the win.

Prediction: Packers 35, 49ers 28
