Week 16 vs. Chicago Bears

Last season, the 49ers pulled off their first win of the Jimmy Garoppolo era, beating the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in Week 13.

2018 figures to be much, much different for the Bears, though, and they’re one of those teams generating plenty of hype heading into this season. First off, quarterback Mitchell Trubisky will have a year’s worth of experience under his belt. That’s a plus.

And so is the fact Chicago stocked up on offensive talent to help him out, namely wide receivers Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel. First-year head coach Matt Nagy should be able to do much more with this unit than former head coach John Fox ever could have hoped for.

The Bears defense is budding, and their offensive line remains solid.

At this point in the season, San Francisco is due for a bit of a skid. Bears running back Jordan Howard has himself a day, carrying Chicago to a road win and ending the Niners’ win streak.

Prediction: Bears 27, 49ers 20
