Week 10 vs. New York Giants (Monday Night Football)

Wow. Back-to-back prime-time games.

OK, so the Thursday Night Football contest is a given for all 32 teams. But there’s a nice added break for the 49ers, spending the entirety of Weeks 9 and 10 at home with the added day before hosting the New York Giants on Monday Night Football.

It’s like a mini bye week.

The not-yet-starting-Jimmy-Garoppolo 49ers managed to knock off the G-Men 31-21 in Week 10 last year — San Francisco’s first victory of 2017, which also pointed directly to the slew of front-office changes New York endured last year and into 2018.

Those Giants, picking at No. 2 overall in the NFL Draft, are in line to take a quarterback to replace aging veteran, Eli Manning. Yet general manager David Gettleman isn’t revealing his hand.

For now, Manning is the penciled-in starter. But it’s anyone’s guess what’s going on with New York by Week 10.

Even if the Giants manage to turn things around nicely in 2018, they’ll be facing a fresh Niners squad at home after an extended break.

Easy win for San Francisco.

Prediction: 49ers 21, Giants 13
