San Francisco 49ers: 5 most desirable players at No. 9 in the 2018 NFL Draft

3. Minkah Fitzpatrick, Defensive Back, Alabama

Well, the analysts have certainly jumped on the Minkah Fitzpatrick to the 49ers bandwagon.

In fairness, it’s not hard to see why. He’s a brilliant prospect who likely could fall to the 49ers pick, the 49ers would still be looking for a young person to groom behind Richard Sherman and pair with Ahkello Witherspoon, and there is interest between the 49ers and Fitzpatrick.

In fact, they’ve even had several meetings.

Unlike the first two prospects, where Barkley is unlikely to fall down to the 49ers and Vea is a curveball of a selection, there is a real possibility for Fitzpatrick to become a 49ers player and be a decade-long tandem with Witherspoon.
