No. 2: Trade down with the Buffalo Bills in Round 1

Similar to the Cardinals, the Buffalo Bills are also looking to find their next franchise quarterback. The Bills did acquire A.J. McCarron in free agency, but the former Cincinnati Bengals QB has not yet proven his abilities as a long-time starter.

Because of its pursuit for a starting-caliber quarterback, Buffalo might end up trading up to the top 10.

With the 49ers sitting at No. 9, a couple of quarterbacks might fall to that position. If Allen or Mayfield is available, the Bills might switch spots with San Francisco.

Here is the potential trade:

If the Bills receive the ninth overall selection, they would acquire a promising replacement for Tyrod Taylor. Though, Buffalo would only trade up if the team sees a good quarterback fit to its roster.

Meanwhile, the Niners would trade back three spots and receive a second-round pick.

With the 12th overall selection, San Francisco could still pick up a player like Florida State safety Derwin James or Virginia Tech linebacker Tremaine Edmunds if they fall to that spot.
