San Francisco 49ers: Final 7-round mock before the 2018 NFL Draft

42. . Cornerback. Boston College. Isaac Yiadom. 170. player

Even though the 49ers just took a cornerback in Kameron Kelly, the lack of depth entering 2018 only mandates they look at additional options.

Similar to Kelly’s lanky frame, Boston College’s Isaac Yiadom (6-foot-1, 190 pounds) also fits the bill for a Robert Saleh-type defensive back. And despite his relatively underweight frame, Yiadom is a willing tackler and displays plenty of physicality.

As is the case with many prospects taken in the later rounds, Yiadom will need some time to develop and adjust to NFL-caliber routes.

But with the ceiling of being a quality backup at the position, taking Yiadom at No. 170 overall would be a wise investment for San Francisco.
