Round 4, Pick 28: Running Back Bo Scarbrough

The 49ers signed running back Jerick McKinnon in free agency. While I personally loved the pickup, many fans were left puzzled since McKinnon is that similar type of small shifty pass-catching back as Matt Breida.

Well, Bo Scarbrough will vanquish any of these fans’ concerns.

Scarbrough is your classic old-school power back, who isn’t always explosive, but possesses that burst when he finds an open lane to run through.

When you turn on game tape of Alabama and watch Scarbrough run the football, you instantly think of Marshawn Lynch and LeGarrette Blount. These are classic heavy-power guys, who can dominate defenders at the first and second level of the defense.

Scarbrough would bring a huge degree of toughness to the team’s run game. If I’m Kyle Shanahan, I take Scarbrough and develop him to become the next Lynch.
