Defensive Back. Alabama. Minkah Fitzpatrick. 7. player. 48.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were the one team worse in the pass rush than the Colts, and they would have loved it had Bradley Chubb fallen to the No. 7 spot.

He didn’t, though, meaning the Bucs will have to address another key area of need with the best value possible.

While the front seven needs some help, Tampa Bay’s secondary is also just as pressing a concern. The Buccaneers have a nice young cornerback in Vernon Hargreaves, but they could use another up-and-coming defensive back to add to the mix.

Alabama’s Minkah Fitzpatrick is technically a safety, but he’s capable of lining up anywhere on the secondary. He can play on the outside, the slot, in the box at safety or back deep as a true center fielder. He’s that versatile and a worthy pick at this spot.
