2018 NFL Draft: Two-round mock for all 32 teams across the league
By Peter Panacy
The New England Patriots elected to let cornerback Malcolm Butler walk in free agency after a disappointing end in Super Bowl LII, when he was benched.
A tall, rangy cornerback capable of playing on the outside is now what head coach Bill Belichick needs, and this should be towards the top of what is turning out to be a pretty big wish list.
Colorado’s Isaiah Oliver is that kind of player. At 6-foot-0 and 201 pounds, Oliver is more than capable of lining up against the bigger-bodied receivers he’ll see at the NFL level. While his technique needs some refinement, and some may question the level of competition he saw, Oliver has the potential to emerge as a true shutdown corner within the pro ranks.
