The New Orleans Saints became a well-rounded offense last season, equally focusing on running the ball instead of merely asking quarterback Drew Brees to put the entire offense on his shoulders.

The latter isn’t a bad plan in of itself, but the Saints would need another good wide receiver to pair with Michael Thomas this season.

Oklahoma State’s James Washington is a perfect downfield threat — the kind which have thrived with Brees under center for years now.

And with opposing defenses now forced to respect New Orleans’ running game, a downfield target like Washington should be able to make an immediate impact.
