Josh Jackson. 14. player. 49. . Cornerback. Iowa

The Green Bay Packers used a top pick in the 2017 NFL Draft in Kevin King, but their secondary still isn’t where it needs to be.

And while the Packers might be thinking about adding more prolific offensive weapons, putting a lot of attention on the defensive side of the ball makes the most sense. Especially now they’ll have to face off against Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins twice a year.

Iowa’s Josh Jackson isn’t quite the sum of his parts and doesn’t have a great deal of experience solely at cornerback. But his 2017 collegiate season was excellent, and Jackson could develop into a very solid outside corner or nickel guy, depending on how the Packers want to use him.

It’s a safe pick and one with plenty of upside.
