Cornerback. Ohio State. Denzel Ward. 11. player. 59.

After parting ways with standout defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh this offseason, the front seven might be the Miami Dolphins’ chief need.

The problem, though, is there isn’t quite the value here at No. 11. And while some may think the Dolphins would like to eventually replace quarterback Ryan Tannehill, a guess would have that problem put off for at least another year.

Instead, Miami follows a simple method — grab the best player available.

Ohio State’s Denzel Ward is easily the best pure cornerback in this year’s NFL Draft class, and many analysts are hoping he’s the next coming of fellow former Buckeye, Marshon Lattimore.

Ward has the ability to be an anchor point for any secondary, which is also a pretty big need for Miami this offseason.
