No. 2: Wide Receiver Allen Robinson

I’m not going to lie — I wanted wide receiver Allen Robinson to come to the 49ers badly. Really badly — and for good reason.

Robinson is everything offensive coordinators want in a possession receiver. He can run incredible routes to shake the defense, make spectacular catches in contested situations and outmuscle defenders to constantly create YAC (yards after the catch).

The Bears gave him a three-year, $42 million deal, which is a lot. But it will be more than worth it for Robinson, who fills the team’s biggest need. Second-year quarterback Mitch Trubisky, who showed some promise last season, finally has a good weapon that he can throw to.
