How the 49ers are affected by the 2018 quarterback landscape post free agency

Speaking of the Browns… They Went NFL Draft Crazy with Trades
Looking at Browns general manager John Dorsey’s transactions in advance of NFL free agency can be dizzying.
Acquiring Tyrod Taylor, of course, is the one of note to the 49ers here.
Armed with two picks in the top five of the NFL Draft, one might assume the Browns no longer need to use one of those on a top-ranked signal-caller.
Think again, though.
Taylor is only signed through 2018, and it’s not likely head coach Hue Jackson envisions him as a key component of a long-term rebuild. We had a little back and forth (don’t worry, it was friendly) with FanSided’s Cleveland site, Factory of Sadness, and we reached a similar conclusion:
Based off this interpretation, the Browns are still going to use one of their first two picks on a quarterback.
That still helps the 49ers in a major way.
