No. 3: OG Josh Kline

Protecting Garoppolo is critical for the 49ers offense to achieve any type of success come next season. Despite re-signing starting center Daniel Kilgore, San Francisco still needs to drastically improve its interior offensive line.

More from SF 49ers Free Agency

Guard Joshua Garnett is set to return from injury in 2018, but the 49ers might sign a few other players to compete for a starting role.

Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan might consider top free-agent guards such as Andrew Norwell and Josh Sitton. However, a player they could target is Titans guard Josh Kline.

Even though his name is not circulating enough, Kline is an under-the-radar player who can help solidify any offensive line.

In 2017, Pro Football Focus gave Kline an overall grade of 75.8, which is decent enough to make some noise within the free-agent market.

If the 49ers were to pick Kline up, they would acquire a guard who will compete for a spot in the starting lineup. Especially with its franchise quarterback in place, San Francisco might see Kline as a solid protector for Garoppolo.
