No. 3: Offensive Guard Josh Sitton

The interior of the offensive line might have been the 49ers’ biggest problem last season, even after Jimmy Garoppolo took the reigns at quarterback.

That could change in the 2018 season by signing offensive guard Josh Sitton.

The 49ers made a statement by signing soon-to-be 30-year old Richard Sherman — that the team is in a position to win now and compete for a Super Bowl championship.

Sitton is 31 years old and will be 32 by the beginning of the 2018 season, but he has not showed any signs of slowing down, proving to be one of the league’s premier offensive linemen. Pro Football Focus has him as the No. 5 guard and the No. 10 offensive lineman in the league.

“There is no better pass blocking guard than Josh Sitton,” Sam Monson of PFF raves.

Monson pulled up a statistic that showed that Sitton only allowed 10 quarterback pressures on 335 pass-protection snaps.

Sitton has still got it. And with the offensive line being one of the 49ers’ biggest needs, this is a no-brainer.
