2018 NFL offseason quarterback carousel: Predicting who goes where
By Peter Panacy
Josh Rosen
2017 Team: UCLA
If Josh Rosen does end up falling out of the top five, there are still plenty of NFL teams that would be happy with his services in 2018 and beyond.
Rosen may no longer be viewed as a plug-and-play starter. But that doesn’t change the notion he’s among the more accurate quarterbacks stemming from this year’s class. And accuracy is, perhaps, the best attribute a signal-caller prospect can have.
Denver sits at No. 5 in the draft. And with just over $23 million in cap space, they’re likely long out of the Kirk Cousins sweepstakes.
That means draft and develop, and Rosen has already been on Broncos general manager John Elway’s radar.
Additionally, Fox Sports’ Peter Schrager mocked Rosen to Denver:
If Rosen’s combine is viewed as a fluke and not an indication of things to come, this would be a smart pickup. And the Broncos could still have wiggle room to land a stopgap option to provide needed mentoring.
