NFL Scouting Combine: Ranking the top 10 performers from 2018
No. 3: WR D.J. Chark (LSU)
LSU’s D.J. Chark was initially projected to be drafted between the second and third rounds before the combine. However, because of his impressive performance, Chark’s draft stock may have risen.
The 6-foot-3, 199-pound wide receiver displayed his athleticism and catching abilities throughout his time in Indianapolis. By dominating three of the drills, it is safe to say Chark was a clear winner at the combine.
Chark posted the fastest 40-yard-dash time among all wideouts with 4.34 seconds. With his past track and field experience, Chark made his sprint look easy.
That’s not all. Chark had the best vertical and broad jump results with 40 inches and 129 inches, respectively.
While his physical traits and athletic abilities are unquestionable, Chark still needs improvements with his ball skills.
Though, once he develops his catching prowess to go along his dangerous speed, Chark’s transition to the NFL would go much smoother.
