No. 2: QB Josh Allen (Wyoming)

Following the NFL combine, quarterback-needy teams are now paying even closer attention to Josh Allen. The Wyoming quarterback not only performed spectacularly in field workouts, but also showed he has the physical tools to succeed in the pros.

Listed at 6-foot-5 and 233 pounds, Allen proved to be one of the most athletic quarterbacks in this year’s draft. Allen displayed his speed after finishing the 40-yard dash in 4.75 seconds and the 3-cone drill in 6.9 seconds.

Allen also posted a 33.5-inch vertical and a 119-inch broad jump. In all those four drills, Allen finished first among all quarterback invitees.

During his throwing drills, Allen most notably left teams in awe after throwing a 70-yard deep ball almost with ease. Throughout his workouts, Allen displayed his excellent arm strength, deep-ball accuracy and ball placement.

While his numbers in college are not off the charts, Allen still possesses the physical qualities and arm talent that would make him a perennial NFL starter one day.

Especially after making headlines during the combine, Allen will likely be pursued by several teams picking in the top 10 in this year’s draft.
