No. 5: Offensive Guard Quenton Nelson, Notre Dame

Notre Dame offensive guard Quenton Nelson has seen his NFL Draft stock rise considerably leading up to the NFL Scouting Combine.

It’s rare to see interior lineman tabbed as top-10 prospects, but that’s exactly where Nelson is heading.

Especially after his 35 reps in the 225-pound bench press, which is tied for second most:

Nelson’s impressive performance didn’t just end there. It’s his attitude, which helps make him a winner.

Here’s what he had to say, via Nick Kosmider of the Denver Post:

"As a blocker, my mindset is to dominate. I want to dominate all my opponents and take away their will to play the game. You have guys who are dominating the NFL right now … who have just been working guys, and you need interior guys to stop them. I think I’m one of those guys."

If anything, Nelson has convinced Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller:

Yeah, a top-five prospect constitutes a win.
