Penn State. Saquon Barkley. 4. player. 53. . Running Back

With their second of two picks in the top five, the Browns give quarterback Baker Mayfield an added weapon on offense by landing Penn State running back Saquon Barkley.

Barkley is being viewed as the best tailback prospect since Adrian Peterson, which will certainly take pressure off Mayfield from having to come into the league and perform from day one. And while Barkley’s NFL Draft stock might have slipped a bit towards the tail end of the 2017 season, there’s no doubt he’s the best pound-for-pound runner in this year’s class.

The Browns have a few pieces on defense to build around. This year’s draft should largely focus on building up the offense, and Barkley’s addition helps that substantially.
