No. 2: Running Back Reggie Bush

Following a mediocre run with the New Orleans Saints, Reggie Bush resurrected his career with solid campaigns with the Miami Dolphins and the Detroit Lions.

Bush had three seasons in which he recorded 986 or more rushing yards. With his speed, Bush was also a reliable receiving back as proven by his 506 receiving-yard performance in 2013 with Detroit.

San Francisco signed Bush to a one-year, $2.5 million deal in 2015. Despite his big contract, Bush only played for five games as he was being plagued with injuries.

Throughout his career, Bush found trouble staying healthy and thus, signing him posed a risk. Despite Bush’s injury history, the 49ers still took a chance and signed the former USC star.

Running back Carlos Hyde also dealt with injuries in 2015, which caused many problems for the offense.

Bush only totaled 28 rushing yards and 19 receiving yards during his single season in San Francisco.
