No. 7: Kicker Robbie Gould

While Jimmy Garoppolo was reinvigorating the 49ers on and off the field, Robbie Gould was setting records himself, becoming the first kicker ever to kick 15 field goals in three games.

While it’s a better record for the player to have than the team (as it points to problems finishing drives and having to settle for three points instead of six), it points to Gould being a reliable, even elite kicker, for the 49ers.

Going 39-of-41 this season and hitting 28-pf-30 extra-point attempts, Gould is a model of consistency and has earned at least another year on his contract, which is set to expire at the end of this upcoming season.

The only reason he’s so low is because of his age at 35 years old. But while he’s certainly closer to the end of his career than his beginning, he’s not quite done yet.
