NFL Power Rankings: Quarterback Nos. 10 – 6

Just outside the top five of our quarterback NFL power rankings, these signal-callers can still be classified as upper-echelon guys to have under center.

Many are capable of having a franchise built around them. Others are top-five QBs who, for whatever reason, are poised to fall out of the best of the best this season.

Quarterback. Oakland Raiders. DEREK CARR. 10. Simply put, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr <a href=

Quarterback. Los Angeles Rams. JARED GOFF. 9. Believe it or not, Rams quarterback Jared Goff actually boasted the fifth-best passer rating in the NFL last season (100.5). It’s hard to say whether or not this was due to him having players like wide receiver Robert Woods or Cooper Kupp make huge impacts or, probably, running back Todd Gurley having an MVP-like season. Gurley’s presence surely took a lot of pressure off Goff, and that’s reason enough not to boost the young quarterback any higher in our NFL power rankings here. A full season under head coach Sean McVay will help, though, and 2018 is shaping up to be very exciting for the former Cal product.

Los Angeles Chargers. PHILIP RIVERS. 8. Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers might be one of the biggest underrated players in the NFL today, and his 2017 season was pretty remarkable despite the lack of attention Los Angeles received over the course of the year. Rivers is 36 years old but is also coming off a season in which he eclipsed 4,500 passing yards. And with just 10 picks thrown, it seems as if those turnover problems from 2016 all but disappeared.. 7. Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan sorely missed his former offensive coordinator, Kyle Shanahan, who helped him engineer an MVP campaign back in 2016. <a href=. Quarterback. Atlanta Falcons. MATT RYAN

6. The Saints’ Drew Brees is set to hit <a href=. Quarterback. Pending Free Agent. DREW BREES

Now onto the top five of our NFL power rankings quarterback countdown.
