No. 1: Bradley Chubb (NC State)

Bradley Chubb is the best edge defender in this draft, hands down. There’s no argument.

Chubb is a monster of a human being (6-foot-4, 275 pounds) and plays up to his stature. He traumatizes offensive lines for a living, constantly bulldozing through each poor college kid that has to go up against him. He can stop the run and the pass with ease.

However, what really stands out to me isn’t even how easily Chubb powers his way through offensive linemen. It’s how he hits the quarterback like a safety coming to hit a receiver crossing over the middle of the field like a missile.

You can bet that Chubb will get his fair share of lickings on the quarterback he is targeting.

The San Francisco defensive line needs a dominant force, especially in a division filled with solid quarterbacks. With each hit, Chubb can destroy their confidence and help the 49ers reach a Super Bowl.
