New York Giants

Who They Get: Josh Rosen (UCLA)

The New York Giants ushered in a major shake-up last season, firing head coach Ben McAdoo en route to a 3-13 finish.

There’s a lot to be done here, and one of the biggest orders of business is finding someone to take the reins from veteran quarterback Eli Manning, who is coming off his worst season, statistically, since 2007.

Manning just turned 37 years old. He’s signed through 2019 and has indicated he wants to be back in a Giants uniform next year. But that doesn’t mean New York will ignore its future needs, which points to the NFL Draft as a legitimate option.

Holding the No. 2 overall pick in the draft, it wouldn’t be a shock to see newly minted general manager Dave Gettleman grab whichever quarterback is tops on his list.

And that guy is UCLA’s Josh Rosen.

Rosen has already expressed interest in playing for the Giants, shown in the video below:

With Manning under center for 2018, at least the start, Rosen won’t be pressed into a losing situation right away. He can marinate and develop, while Gettleman looks to rebuild what has become a broken roster.
