All those problems the Chiefs had later in the season seem to be a distant memory now, and it’s vital head coach Andy Reid will get contributions from quarterback Alex Smith, running back Kareem Hunt, wide receiver Tyreek Hill and tight end Travis Kelce.
But the big question, of course, will be whether or not Smith can finally get over the “playoff hump” in K.C.
Or will this year result in yet another hello-and-goodbye playoff appearance?
The Chiefs host the Titans in the Wild Card round, so that should play into Kansas City’s advantage. Tennessee has had its own share of issues, so perhaps we’ll see the Chiefs make something of a deep run.
Still, Smith is probably gone next year.
