The Saints managed to clinch a playoff spot with their crucial win over the Falcons in Week 16, and now they just have to take on the 4-11 Buccaneers to help solidify the NFC South.

This, after quarterback Drew Brees outdueled Falcons QB en route to the 23-13 victory.

Brees wasn’t perfect, throwing one touchdown against one interception. And the Saints had only modest efforts from running backs Melvin Ingram and Alvin Kamara, although Ingram did find end-zone paydirt.

If the Saints didn’t get too much going on the ground, their own defense did a stellar job holding down Atlanta’s own running game. The Falcons averaged just 3.3 yards rushing, which proved to be a big difference maker.

Oh, and rookie cornerback Marshon Lattimore continues to make plays.

Even if his interception was with his butt:

The NFC South has been fun to watch this season, and the Saints resurgence is a primary reason why.
