The Chiefs clinched the AFC West with their Week 16 win over the Dolphins — neither of which is too great a statement. The AFC West is terrible, and the Dolphins aren’t good.

Nevertheless, head coach Andy Reid and Co. seem to have put all those midseason issues behind them, and the team is looking more like the invincible group we enjoyed watching in the early weeks of 2017.

Quarterback Alex Smith was solid, passing for over 300 yards with a touchdown. And playmakers Kareem Hunt, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce were also involved nicely.

Kansas City’s offensive output has taken pressure off its defense too, which has proven vital over the team’s three-game winning streak.

Of course, the big question will be whether or not Reid, Smith and the rest of the Chiefs can get beyond just one game in the postseason.

A deep run has been what has eluded K.C. for some time now, but at least this win here helps matters.
