49ers stock reports following Week 15 victory over the Titans

Running Back Carlos Hyde
The 49ers were going to have a tough time moving the ball against the Titans run defense in Week 15.
Before the contest, Tennessee entered with the league’s third-best run defense, allowing just 3.6 yards per attempt. And that number should get better, as the Niners managed just 2.3 yards per carry.
No. 1 tailback Carlos Hyde wasn’t able to offer up much production here, picking up a mere 25 rushing yards on 16 carries — an average of 1.6 yards per rush. And with a long of eight yards, that number would have dropped to 1.1 yards per attempt if he wasn’t able to pull off the lone eight-yard pickup.
Granted, this wasn’t all on Hyde. The offensive line had a tough day in run support, and there were numerous times where Titans defenders were regularly in the backfield.
But with 796 rushing yards on the season now, it’s going to take a massive effort from Hyde over the last two games of 2017 to finally reach 1,000 yards in a season on the ground.
