49ers Offensive Line

With right tackle Trent Brown (shoulder) sidelined for the rest of the season, the Niners were forced to go with backup offensive lineman Zane Beadles in his spot.

It’s a clear downgrade, and the rest of the offensive line — aside from left tackle Joe Staley — had a performance it would rather forget.

Tennessee brought regular pressure throughout the contest. And while quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo performed well under duress, those three sacks and four quarterback hits allowed isn’t exactly a ringing endorsement of the O-line.

But where the lack of up-front effort really hurt was in the running game.

San Francisco netted just 51 rushing yards and averaged a mere 2.3 yards per carry. While the Titans run defense has been good this season, this mark won’t help a 49ers stat line within a unit in need of some serious offseason upgrades.
