The Rams move up a spot in our NFL power rankings, as they were able to stay healthy and not suffer the same kind of devastating loss the Eagles now have with Carson Wentz.

This, despite the 43-35 loss to Philadelphia — a game that went back and fourth for all four quarters.

Quarterback Jared Goff was solid enough, throwing for nearly 200 yards and with two touchdowns on the game. But the Rams’ biggest offensive star was, again, running back Todd Gurley. Gurley finished the day with 96 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Not to be outdone, though, rookie slot receiver Cooper Kupp added 118 receiving yards of his own plus a touchdown. He’s been fun to watch.

It would have been nice to see L.A. manage a few more stops on defense, as the Eagles managed 29 first downs compared to the Rams’ 17. If you want to know why the Rams lost this contest, that’s your stat line to blame.

Biggest Question

With the Seahawks losing in Week 15 as well, the Rams weren’t able to put more distance between themselves and Seattle in the NFC West lead, which stays at one game. Both of these teams square off in Week 15 and at Seattle, making the Rams’ once-solid hold on the division tenuous at best.
