Safety Adrian Colbert
He might have missed two tackles on the day, but rookie safety Adrian Colbert has quietly become one of the better defenders in San Francisco’s secondary.
Colbert only had three tackles during the contest, but there were two key plays that certainly made a difference.
First, Colbert forced a fumble from the hands of Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins — a loose ball Niners EDGE Aaron Lynch was able to recover:

In addition, Colbert broke up a key third-down would-be catch against Houston wideout DeAndrew White, who was previously wide open on the play:
What the clip doesn’t show is just how far Colbert had to come over from the middle of the field to converge on White.
That’s some range, and Colbert’s stock is definitely on the rise.
