W, 24-10 vs. Eagles. Previous: . Seattle Seahawks. 6. team. 36.

The Seattle Seahawks jump up nicely in our NFL power rankings this week. But that’s what happens when you beat the previously No. 1-ranked Philadelphia Eagles during prime time on Sunday Night Football.

Despite being shorthanded on defense, the Seahawks had little trouble taking the Eagles running game out of the equation. And outside of Philly wideout Nelson Agholor, the Eagles weren’t able to maintain any sort of continuous rhythm through the air either.

What we saw instead was a Seattle defense that reminded us a lot of what it used to be back in 2013 and 2014.

Meanwhile, quarterback Russell Wilson continues to amaze. Despite a so-so running game and a porous offensive line, Wilson is starting to emerge as one of those elite quarterbacks capable of carrying an entire team. Simply put, he is the offense. Without him, the Seahawks’ 2017 campaign would have been over long ago.

Wilson’s stat line by the way? Just a cool 20-of-31 for 227 yards, three touchdowns and passer rating of 118.6.

Don’t count Seattle out of the NFC West race just yet. This team is getting hot at the right time.
