Pound for pound, the Chiefs are still better than the Jets. And it would be somewhat foolish to bet on Sunday’s results 10 times out of 10.

Still, something is clearly wrong with head coach Andy Reid’s team right now. Just watching the game, it’s clear the Chiefs aren’t playing with anywhere near the same level of execution and passion they enjoyed earlier this season.

Kansas City’s most recent loss means this team has dropped four in a row and six of their last seven contests — quite the far cry from the success they enjoyed earlier this year.

Running back Kareem Hunt seems to have disappeared. And despite some heroics from veteran quarterback Alex Smith, the offense simply isn’t getting the big plays with the same frequency it used to.

Yet, for some reason, the Chiefs still remain in first place in the all-too-weird AFC West.

But it’s probably time to panic in K.C. Even with cornerback Marcus Peters, albeit that was kind of funny.
