team. 30. . W, 38-31 vs. Chiefs. Previous: . New York Jets. 20
The New York Jets have a nice little climb in our NFL power rankings this week after a gutsy back-and-forth win over the Chiefs.
Quarterback Josh McCown continued to defy the critics, throwing for over 330 yards with a touchdown against zero interceptions. And he benefited from two 100-yard receivers, Jermaine Kearse and Robby Anderson, who made a serious impact.
New York isn’t quite anywhere near the tier of being called a middle-of-the-road team. But head coach Todd Bowles’ squad is scrappy and has defied the odds all year long.
Wins like this should put the Jets into a great situation heading into the offseason. Remember, we all thought they’d have the worst record in the NFL in 2018.
