Wide Receiver Marquise Goodwin

With veteran wide receiver Pierre Garçon (neck) on injured reserve, fellow wideout Marquise Goodwin will continue to get the majority of looks at this position.

Previous weeks have been something of a disappointment since Garçon’s injury, but a lot of the lackluster stats could be attributed to poor 49ers quarterbacking.

Not so much in Week 13.

Goodwin ended up finishing with 99 receiving yards on a career-high eight receptions. The previous high was six when he was with the Buffalo Bills.

What’s going to be fun to watch is any potential chemistry developing between Goodwin and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. It’s an interesting point to consider, especially as both Garoppolo and Goodwin haven’t had much time to work with each other in practices lately.

If Week 13 is any indication, this tandem could be a nice one to watch.
