Best Player: Reuben Foster

Well, this is easy.

First-round draftee Reuben Foster is the easy choice for best player at this position. Pro Football Focus already ranks Foster the No. 5 overall linebacker in the league entering Week 12 and tops among all rookies.

But as Niner fans know, the real test has been keeping Foster on the field.

Ankle and ribs injuries have limited the former Alabama product to just four of the 49ers’ 10 games this season. Despite the relatively few appearances, Foster still ranks seventh among all San Francisco defenders with 24 tackles.

It’s safe to say he’s frequently around the ball, right?
