NFL power rankings: Breaking down where each team sits in Week 12
By Peter Panacy
You don’t get style points for beating up on the Browns, but good teams are supposed to manhandle the bad ones, and that’s just what the Jaguars did over the weekend.
And they did it with a formula they shouldn’t abandon the rest of the season — don’t let quarterback Blake Bortles make risky throws, hand the ball off to running back Leonard Fournette and let that elite-level Jacksonville defense do all the dirty work.
Well, here are your results.
Fournette rushed for 111 yards on 28 carries, and the Jags defense held Cleveland to just 184 all-purpose yards, forcing five turnovers in the process.
Only a moderate climb in our NFL power rankings, but Jacksonville did exactly what it had to do here.
